If you think the gangs in Staten Island, New York, are dangerous, it's only because you've never seen a baker up close.

 

Modern-day samurais armed with spatulas and whisks, they keep the whole neighbourhood under control by drugging everyone with sugar, then charge you an arm and a leg if you ask for extra chocolate sprinkles on top.

 

Then you get hooked, pretty soon the only thing on your mind is surviving until your next cupcake.

 

And don't even think about leaving your tab unpaid, cash rules everything around them.

 

In the 1979 movie Ten Tigers of Kwangtung, directed by Cheh Chang, the Tung Chi gang sets out to avenge the death of General Liang, and like every great kung fu movie, somewhere between the punches and flying kicks nothing is quite what it seems.

 

Just like the Wu-Tang Clan music, the original killer bees and absolute masters of rhymes, beats, and brilliant samples from an era when movies were choreographed scene by scene and Hip Hop landed clean hits straight to everyone's ears.

 

Wu-Tang Clan is creamy and bakers are gangsta, so I went all in on the freestyle synesthesia and mashed up C.R.E.A.M. with a timelapse of a baker doing what she does best, and just called it Cream.
