Before Inception, Interstellar, and The Terminator; even before Alphaville and Planet of the Apes; and, of course, 12 Monkeys, there was La Jetée.  

​

Everything found in science fiction over the past few decades is already present in La Jetée, a short film so classic and simple that you can grasp its meaning even without hearing the voice-over or reading the subtitles.  

​

Genotype also feels like it has always been here and always in the future at the same time.

Just as La Jetée doesn’t need subtitles, Genotype needs no introduction.  

​

I embraced the vibe of the short film with the track Further Searching and named it La Jetéenotype, because life is a mashup of the things we love.
